When marketing on the internet, consistency in publishing keyword rich articles is important to your success. However, there is a critical step most of us overlook….which is monitoring our position on the search engines. .When was the last time you checked to see where you rank in standings with Google? If you’re going to put forth the efforts of publishing articles, and promoting your business opportunity, then you should religiously check and monitor your positions with the search engines.

A number one position in your category with Google is the dream of most marketers. Only one person or business can enjoy position one at a time. Most individuals are content with a page one ranking. If you already have accomplished that goal and satisfied with where you currently stand, then you probably won’t want to continue reading this article. However, if you have a flicker of hope in obtaining higher positions then read on. It takes work and dedication to obtain and maintain top positions with all search engines.

I am a Search Engine Optimization Consultant, and when I’m dealing with a new client, or existing client, my number one recommendation is to…..write at least one short article per day regarding your business opportunity. It is imperative to use…..good keywords and make sure you have used relative content about your offering. Google and other search engine spiders….love new content and this is one of the elements that the search engines uses to move you up in position on the search engines positions. Make sure your content is original…..don’t try to take a short cut and copy and paste someone else’s work. The search engines frown on the use of other peoples work unless you are quoting that individual. If your going to quote someone else's work make sure you give the author the credit they deserve by including the authors name and other pertinent information about the source of the quote.

Learning the art and science of search engine optimization is a process. For some of us the learning curve may be steeper than for others. If you’re willing to learn, and apply the principles of marketing using the search engines as a tool, then you can succeed.
