Google Keyword Tool
In this article I want to share with you some information about one of the Google tools I use to help promote my businesses online.
We've discussed in recent articles about the need for proper marketing tools and some the ones that are effective and some of the marketing tools that are nothing more than pure junk that offers little to no value.
Learn How To Use Google Tools:
I personally use a lot of the marketing tools offered by Google I've found that all the tools I've used have been very effective. However, you will need to do your homework on some of these tools and understand how they work in order to get the maximum benefit of that particular marketing tool. If you're not willing to research the tool and its functions and use it correctly then you may be wise not use it at all. Google has taken great pains to make their tools to work effectively to help you gain Top Positions on Google and other fine search engines.
Use Tool On Each Campaign:
First of all let's talk about the Google Keyword Tool which I use on every one of my personal campaigns. On every marketing campaign for my sites or websites of my clients....I will literally spend hours or sometimes even a couple of days to fine tune which keywords and keyword phrases I need to use for maximum efficiency. Every website is unique and needs to have that special attention to maximize that site with the search engines. If you're not seen on the search engines you won't be seen by the visitors looking for your opportunity.
Google Keyword Tool:
You can use the Google Keyword Tool to get new keyword ideas. Select difference options and enter a few descriptive words or phrases. Keep in mind that if you are building a website you will want to use keywords or keyword phrases that a person would search for if they were going to search for your specific product or service. This is referred to by most people as "Google It".
Important Note: Google cannot guarantee that these keywords will improve your campaign performance. They reserve the right to disapprove any keywords you add. You are responsible for the keywords you select and for ensuring that your use of the keywords does not violate any applicable laws.
Descriptive Words:
There are a couple of ways you can use this tool. You can use descriptive words or phrases and enter the keywords you want to search, one at a time and separate each of the words by a comma. You can also look for synonyms by putting a check mark in the required box.
Website Content Function:
You can also check for keywords by using the website content function. Check the applicable area and Google will search for keywords and phrases that may go with the keywords you are currently using in your website. This is an excellent way to maximize your keywords that you finally use in your source code of your website. All the keywords and phrased may not specifically to your needs. You may be limited to around 200 keywords or phrases in this function. Then edit which of the recommended keywords you feel will be more applicable to your particular offering.
Keyword Count:
There are some disagreements regarding how many keywords should be used in your website source code. In my research I found one company stated that you should not put more than 20 to 25 keywords in your source code, however, I have found a search engine that states you should hold your keyword count at no more than 847 characters. I really don't know the exact count that Google likes, so I personally use somewhere between the 20 keywords to the 847 characters. I think you will be safe by staying somewhere between those figures.
Free Tool:
This is only one of the many Google tools that you can take advantage of when building a website. Did I mention that this is one of the free services that Google provides just for having a Google account. This tool is extremely powerful so use it often and use it wisely
In future articles we will be discussing some additional Google tools that will make your marketing experience more enjoyable, effective and profitable.
